How To Get Here

Our shows are held on our showground at Nell Bank, Denton Road, Ilkley, LS29 0DE.

The showground is adjacent to the Nell Bank Environmental Centre and there is plenty of off road parking.

When you arrive, follow the directions of the car parking attendant who will allocate you a parking space.

What's On

We run three main show rings, with a new larger 4th ring running at certain times during the day.

Classes in each ring are set for each year and run every month. Our class catalogue comprises of over 60 classes, including show jumping, showing, working hunter, in hand and clear round. We have something for all ages and any type of horse or pony.

Class Entries and Fees

When you arrive, you should bring your pre-filled entry form to the portable cabin, at the end of the show ground. Copies are available to fill out if you have forgotten yours.

Pricing for our classes is currently £6 a class for members and £9 a class for non members. We ask every competitor to contribute £4 towards the cost of the paramedics on site. Payment can be made in cash or by card.

You are welcome to join as a member on the day if you haven't done so in advance.

Please ensure you enter in good time before you class starts. Late entries will be considered but may not be accepted.

Food and Drink

We are lucky to have two food and drink vans on site during our shows, as well as Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream.

Visit Jason at Fast Feast for his fantastic selection of hot sandwiches and burgers, and pop along to the coffee van for a vast selection of hot and cold drinks.

They are all here, all day, to keep our competitors, and their families and friends fed and watered, whatever the weather.

Where can we park?

There is plenty of free parking for lorries, trailers and cars in our car park which is next to the show ground.

Please follow the directions of the parking attendant who will allocate you a space.

When do we need to get here?

Our rings start at 8.30am sharp and classes run throughout the day.

Please allow plenty of time to arrive, enter and get ready for your class, remembering that classes run at different speeds throughout the day and across different shows, depending on the number of competitors.

What time is my class?

Other than the first class of the day, our classes do not have set start times. All our rings start running at 8.30am and classes run in order. Please arrive in good time and keep an eye on the rings during the day.

Each ring will advertise the current class running with the class number on the side of the ring. Please do not hover near the ring entrance any earlier than the class before yours. Specific warm up areas are provided across the show ground.

What happens if my classes clash?

Sometimes you may be in a situation where two classes you have entered are running in tandem. Our judges are instructed to be flexible in this instance and as long as the class has not finished, you should be allowed in mid way through.

If you are unable to do both classes due to a clash, come and see the entries team and we will sort things out.

Do you have photographers on site?

We have a number of photographers across the rings on show days and their pictures are available to purchase after the show.

Keep an eye on our facebook page for details of where to purchase after each show.

If you do not wish to be photographed, please speak with them directly on the day.
