We are delighted to announce that once again, we are affiliated with STARS this year.

STARS is being held at Aintree International Equestrian Centre, Liverpool on 20th to 23rd November. Our highest placed members after our September Show will be selected to represent IDRA at this exciting four days of competitions between 60+ riding clubs with working hunter, showing, equitation and in-hand classes. Our qualifying classes are highlighted QSTARS.

You must be a member of IDRA to be in with the chance and you must fulfil the qualifying criteria set by STARS for your class.

Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final 2026

April Show is an Area Qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final 2026, taking place at Arena UK, Grantham on 4th - 6th September 2026.

Open to members and non-members. All competitors placed 1st-4th in each age category will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals.

Members must carry their cards in the ring and have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. Non-members will receive a red qualification card which can be exchanged for signed showing card when applying for VHS membership. This MUST be done within 21 days of qualification. It is the competitors' responsibility to present their Showing card to the judge.

Classes are as follows:

  • Veteran In Hand Combined Age Class (15 Years and over)
  • Veteran Ridden Combined Age Class (15 Years and over)

Both classes to be run as one class but judged as separate age categories: Diamond Veteran (25 years and over), Veteran (20-24 years) and Pre-Veteran (15-19 years). Open to horses and ponies of any breed and height.

Traditional Gypsy Cob Association Championships 2026

April and May Shows are qualifiers for the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association Championships 2026, taking place at Willoughby Park, Onley Grounds Farm, Willoughby, Rugby, CV23 8AJ on 30th July to 1st August 2026.

Classes are as follows:

  • Go For Glory and Quest Qualifiers
  • TGCA TOYS In-Hand and Ridden Classes – No known breeding required to enter these classes
  • TGCA Breed classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsey Cob Association's National Breed Championship Show (TOYS). Classes are open to all traditional gypsy cobs.
  • Part Bred classes, are open to all part bred traditional gypsy cobs and are qualifiers for the part bred finals at “TOYS”. The exhibit must have one parent that is pure bred traditional gypsy cob.
  • Mini Cob Ridden & Inhand
  • Traditional Youngstock
  • Partbred Youngstock
  • Greatest Gelding Traditional and Part Bred

1st, 2nd and 3rd will qualify for the relevant class at TOYs and in our TGCA championship, which will take place after the inhand cob class. Champion and reserve in each section will qualify for the Quest or Go for Glory Championship at TOYs.

Every competitor must enter the cob classes with a coloured arm band (provided by the club).

Current TGCA members must present their Membership card and Qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Non-members MUST receive a qualification card from the judge and have 21 days to join the TGCA and register their horse to validate the qualification. Non members are not eligible for our championship.

Tattersalls RoR Amateur Ridden Show Series 2026

May Show is a qualifier for the Tattersalls RoR Amateur Ridden Show Series 2026, with the first three going forward to the final at Hickstead Derby Meeting on 21st June (must be a RoR member).

Open to all RoR and NR competition registered horses, 4yrs & over, mares & geldings, owned, produced and ridden by an Amateur. Riders must be 15yrs or over on 1st Jan 26.

Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, Pelham or simple double bridle with a plain cavasson noseband. Horses should be plaited. Racing injuries & blemishes ARE IGNORED in this series and is open to AMATEUR riders only – those employed in racing will be allowed to compete.

Class will be judged under 'riding horse' format format without 'type' being taken into consideration. The judge will not ride in the qualifiers but will ride in the Final. Competitors/grooms must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap. There will be prizes to first 3 and highest placed veteran (15+).

Equifest 2026

Our shows are affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire on 5th - 8th August 2026.

April, May, June and July shows are Qualifiers for 2026 with August and September are Qualifiers for 2027.

The two highest eligible placed exhibits not already qualified in the classes listed below, will qualify for the relevant Equifest Championships.

Easy Chip Unaffiliated Show Jumping Championship 2026

Held at Aintree Interational Equestion Centre on 12th - 13th September 2026.

The 6 top competitors from classes 4,6,7,10,11,12,13 & 15 at our JUNE and AUGUST Shows will qualify for the above championships (subject to eligibility) on the condition that they haven't jumped at a higher level in any BS affiliated class within 6 months at the time of qualification. This doesn’t include BS Club Classes.

Qualification cards will be sent out via email from Aintree as soon as results have been finalised by the Aintree team. Your email address is essential on your entry form, in case you are placed.
