NOTICE OF DISCLAIMER
You enter the parking field entirely at your own risk. Neither the owners
nor the Ilkley & District Riding Association accept liability or responsibility
for any loss, damage or personal injury by/to any persons or property on the
field. The field has been provided by the kind permission of the Owners.
It is for your CONVENIENCE AND SAFETY. Please comply with
these few simple RULES:
1. MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT IS 5mph.
2. If you lose traction - ASK for assistance. DO NOT
tear up the turf.
3. Obey the ‘MARSHALS’, they are there to assist
you.
4. Horses may be ridden in the warm up area provided. When riding to and from
the show field please ensure that you only WALK.
5. Please ensure that you have removed ALL your litter and
droppings before you leave. As we borrow the car park field, the agreement is
that it has to be left clear of any rubbish and droppings after our shows. If
it is not left to the standard that is required, we could lose this facility
– so please help to maintain our excellent facilities.

HEALTH & SAFETY STATEMENT FOR I.D.R.A.
1. The Organiser has the overall responsibility for Health and Safety.
2. The event is organised in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation
an all who have (to any extent) control of premises or site at the event are
responsible for ensuring that:-
a) Everything reasonably practicable is done to ensure the health and safety
and welfare of those attending the event;
b) They conduct themselves so that they do not put themselves or anyone else
at risk;
c) Access to and from the site is safe;
d) Members of the public and competitors are generally responsible for ensuring
that they do not put other persons at risk and that they co-operate with the
organisers in compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.)
e) Children must be supervised by parents/guardians at all
times.
f) Dogs must be kept under close control and on leads at all times.
g) The use of bicycles are prohibited on the showground.
3. Horses:
a) Horses can easily be frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public
are requested to keep clear from horse areas/lanes and to avoid behaviour which
might alarm horses;
b) We would strongly advise that horses and ponies are not left unsupervised
whilst tied up.
4. Emergencies:
a) Emergency services must have access to all parts of the event site at all
times and members of the public must not park vehicles on the road side adjacent
to the entrance area;
b) Paramedic Unit position is clearly marked;
c) In the case of an emergency, members of the public should contact the nearest
official and/or the paramedics.
